Leaving the Academy...

I just finished two years of art school at Academy of Art in San Francisco. It's been one of the best experiences I could have hoped for but it's time to move on... and for so many reasons. The curriculum is getting too repetitive and redundant, plus I need to do my own art instead of an assignment given by an instructor. I could stay in school and study more, but as so often said, the only way to improve your painting is to paint. I miss it and I need my life back. I'm dying to try out my newly acquired skills with my own ideas. So, I'm not an art student anymore, but I just might be an artist!! :o)
